World Rabies Day seeks to raise global awareness about the impact of rabies on humans and animals. This preventable disease is responsible for over 50,000 human deaths annually and also represents a significant threat to the health and survival of wild mammals. The World Animal Health Organization (OIE) through its Working Group on Wildlife Diseases, will be hosting a webinar in honor of World Rabies Day on Saturday, September 28th (information on the webinar is also available in French and Spanish below).
