Abstracts from 2013 RRIAP Symposium- Wildlife infectious Diseases and the Early Warning System Using Zoo Networks of the World

The 28th International Symposium of the Regional Research Institute of Agricultural Production (RRIAP) was held on January 28, 2013 at the College of Bioresource Science, Nihon University, Japan. The theme was "Wildlife infectious Diseases and the Early Warning System Using Zoo Networks of the World". The purpose of the symposium was to understand and exchange information about infectious diseases transmitted among wild and captive animals with a significant impact on the ecosystem, the livestock industry and human society such as highly pathogenic avian influenza and foot-and mouth disease, and also to conduct fundamental research to implement through collaboration among global regions for preventing infectious diseases using zoo networks in the world.
